  • Cabarrus County Schools announced that Dr. Richie Wells, principal of W.M. Irvin Elementary, was selected as the 2025 Principal of the Year—recognizing his leadership in education.  Independent Tribune
  • Cabarrus County Schools, Atrium Health and The Pearl have announced a new health care innovation academy to train students in modern health care skills. The academy—pioneering in local education—will soon offer specialized programs that create career pathways for Concord students.  Independent Tribune
