- ➤ Cabarrus County Active Living and Parks will host the seventh annual Touch-a-Truck event at Cabarrus Arena and Events Center on November 1 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Visitors will see emergency vehicles, tractors, dozers, a low-sensory period from 9 to 10:30 a.m. and a helicopter landing between 10:45 and 11 a.m.+ families can enjoy Ninja Nation’s obstacle course, bounce houses, face painting, games and a blood drive while admission is free and parking costs $8. ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Cabarrus farmers now can apply for the NC AgVentures Farm Grant Program, which will offer up to $10,000 per project and cover 90% of costs+ farmers must provide the remaining 10%. County Extension Director Tracy LeCompte said the program supports improvements like new walk-in fridges and drones for field mapping, with online workshops on November 10 and November 24 and applications due December 19 at 6 p.m. Cabarrus County Government
