  • The North Carolina Arts Council has announced $11 million in grant awards for the fiscal year — Cabarrus will receive some funds while Mecklenburg will be allocated a larger share to support local arts programs.  Independent Tribune

  • Cabarrus County will hold its 2025 municipal elections in November and local voters should check five key points that list important dates and voting rules—these details help prepare residents for voting.  Independent Tribune
  • Cabarrus County, Concord, Kannapolis, and local partners will host a free workshop to teach residents about the Fair Housing Act and their rights as tenants and homebuyers. The in-person Spanish session will be held Tuesday, October 21 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 335 Ann St. NW in Concord — while a virtual English session will follow Thursday, October 23 from 6 to 7 p.m.  Cabarrus County Government
