- ➤ State health regulators conditionally approved Novant Health’s plan for a new 50-bed hospital in Concord and Atrium Health’s plan to expand its local facility by 76 beds—Novant will start construction in July while Atrium’s work will begin in January to meet Cabarrus County’s growing care needs. Independent Tribune
