EDUCATION NEWS

  • Rowan-Cabarrus Community College student Colin Williams was elected to a National FBLA-Collegiate office at the 2025 Future Business Leaders of America Collegiate National Leadership Conference in Dallas, Texas. His election marks a milestone for the college — he will lead future initiatives to support business students.  Independent Tribune

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Joel White was promoted to Director of Buildings and Grounds, effective July 7th, to lead maintenance for 70 city facilities and manage over 400 acres of parks, greenways and properties—including the cemetery and urban forestry divisions. White joined Concord in 2017 and served as Deputy Director and Interim Director (since April) with a focus on key projects like the Parks and Recreation General Obligation Bond works.  City of Concord, North Carolina
