- ➤ The Cabarrus Calendar details events in Concord and Kannapolis with past activities such as hot dog sales at Epworth on July 17 and bridge games at Hartsell Recreation Center on July 18, and upcoming gatherings including a Piedmont Farmers Market today, a blood drive at EMS on July 23, and Howell’s Missionary Baptist Church’s Homecoming Service on August 3. Residents are invited to join weekly Bible studies, additional farmers markets, and local church services planned through the week — opportunities to stay engaged in community life. - ➤ MPV Properties has signed leases for three new restaurant tenants—Another Broken Egg Café, Buffalo Wild Wings GO, and Brixx Pizza—to open at Christenbury Village in Concord, with one building now at 100% occupancy and further openings planned for early next year. In addition, longtime Concord restaurant Christo’s on Branchview Drive closed a few weeks ago, and the E.L.K. Initiative held a July 12 litter clean-up event in Salisbury that collected 109 pounds of trash. Independent Tribune
