- ➤ The Cabarrus County Fair is set to run Sept 5 to 13 with a new logo, rodeo, and local vendor booths, while Custom Flavors broke ground on a new processing facility in Concord on June 3 that will double production capacity from its location off West Winds Boulevard near Concord Mills. The Friends of the Mount Pleasant Library will host bestselling author Dawn Tripp for a book talk on June 24 at 11:30 a.m. and Historic Cabarrus Association will offer a movie night with guided tours at Mount Pleasant Prison on June 14 for $5 — local memories of TV newsman Robert D.
