- ➤ Starting June 2, the Cabarrus County Public Library System will launch the 'Color Our World' Summer Reading Program with art events and reading challenges at local branches. Participants can log reading time and earn badges until August 15—with events held until August 2 and prizes available at different stages. Cabarrus County Government

- ➤ Summer Espinosa, a kindergarten teacher at W.R. Odell Primary School in Cabarrus County, was named to Governor Josh Stein’s Teacher Advisory Council on National Teacher Appreciation Day — she was also recognized as North Carolina’s Beginning Teacher of the Year in March by the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching.
