  • Cannon School’s Brainy Yaks robotics team earned a spot in the top 100 at the world championship from over 32,000 teams, showing their skill and dedication. The team will now prepare for more challenges while representing their school.  Independent Tribune

  • On Friday morning in downtown Concord, Chief Deputy Tessa Burchett received the Robert J. Eury Award during the Law Enforcement Day and Peace Officers Memorial where community members and local leaders honored her compassionate leadership—she was praised by Sheriff Van Shaw and other colleagues for her professionalism, integrity, and commitment to public service.  Cabarrus County Government
