- ➤ Rowan-Cabarrus Community College in Salisbury is hosting Summer Enrichment Camps for students ages 12-18 to explore interests and build skills for success. Registration is open and the camps will take place this summer. Independent Tribune
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Concord Fire Department will conduct water tower rescue training near Highway 73 over the summer — officials say residents may notice more fire trucks but no emergency is expected. Independent Tribune
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Officials reported Friday that a boil water notice remained in effect in Kannapolis after E. coli was detected in the water system and a few Concord customers were advised to boil water for safety. Independent Tribune
